Mystery Mineral
All students that participated at the Glenbow presentation received a mineral to start their own collection. Below are the clues for students to discover the name of their mineral:

  1. I am a common mineral.
  2. I have a white streak or no streak at all.
  3. I have a hardness of 7.
  4. I am used for making glass.
  5. Varieties of me include amethyst and rose.
Who Am I?

We discovered why erosion occurs more slowly when soil is paired with leaf debris or plants.

We also watched a video explaining the importance of roots in this process.

Finally, we watched a video about wind erosion and how planting many diverse crops in the same ground can help balance out soil use.
