Social StudiesToday we started to work in small groups to research about the 6 different Alberta’s Natural Regions (Rocky Mountain, Parkland, Grassland, Foothills, Canadian Shield and Boreal Forest). Students read passages from a book to find the most relevant information about geography, resources, animals and climate. Next step, they will research on the Internet and develop a presentation for the whole class about their region.

Lockdown Practice Tomorrow
Tomorrow, October 25th, we will have a whole school lockdown practice. Today we had a conversation about the importance of this practice and we reviewed the expectations.
Halloween:
- Halloween is on October 31st
- Students are welcome to dress up for the afternoon only
- Simple school appropriate costumes that children can change into independently, that do not interfere with learning and include school appropriate imagery, visuals and accessories
- Snacks/treats: parents and guardians are welcome send treats for the afternoon Halloween (Due allergies: no nuts, please!)
Swimming Starts Next Week!!!
We are still missing the forms from a few students! Please make sure you send them back ASAP. Also, we still need a few volunteers to support our students during this activity. Let me know, if you are available in any of those days.
