This communication is to inform you that there will be a Service Dog in our school on occasion to assist a CBE staff member as they work with some of our students.
The Calgary Board of Education is committed to providing inclusive services and access for all students and employees. A Service Dog must be registered and trained in order to enter any Calgary Board of Education location, including schools. Chanty, the Hearing Ear Service Dog meets all of the requirements and will assist our employee with their hearing challenges.
All students and staff will be instructed as to the proper protocols regarding working Service Dogs, and students will be reminded to not touch or interact with the Service Dog while they are in the school.
The school will take all the necessary precautions, and will consider the rights of other students and employees (e.g. severe allergies to dogs, phobia to dogs etc.). Please contact the school should this apply to your child, or if you have any questions.

May 9 - Talent Show 2019 forms need to be completed and signed by parents/guardians
May 9 - Service Dog Visit Tomorrow
May 10 – Volunteer Celebration
May 13 - Audition process for Talent Show 2019 starts
