Writing Challenge
This week we are learning the proper way to write informal letters.
When writing a letter students need to think about the person or persons they are writing to and the following 5 elements:
1. Date
2. Salutation or Greeting: Dear Bob,
3. Body of your letter (the text)
4. Closing: Your friend, / Sincerely,
5. Signature

Image result for a poppy is to rememberConnecting with our Remembrance Day activities, students listen to the book "A poppy is to remember" by Heather Patterson and Ron Lightburn. After, they have to imagine themselves as soldiers, doctors or nurses during the Great War fighting for peace. Their mission is to write a letter to someone from their family or a close friend to give them news and share hope for end of the war.

Math
This week we are also review different strategies to solve addition and subtraction equations.
