Art | History | Science | Literacy

How did early cave paintings and rock paintings last that long?

Today we watched a video about aboriginal artwork made on rocks survived for thousands of years. Then, we created our own representations of our ancient stories on our visual journals. Students also had to explain their drawings, creating a quick legend or tale about to go along with their artwork.

While you were Away
& Unfinished Tasks

If your child missed a few days of school, they can try to catch up going into our Google Drive Shared folder. Click here!

Unfinished Tasks: Ask your child if they have any unfinished tasks this week!
Please ask your child why he/she was unable to complete his/her assignment(s) during class and sign the form attached to their work.

Book Club

We want our students to get excited about reading. As they participate and are encouraged to choose their own books, they become more motivated and interested in reading. Students have access to Scholastic catalogues to order books and learning games. If you are interested, ask your child if they have a book catalogue. Please send your orders by January 25th. You can also order online at http://www.scholastic.ca/parents/

We still need Volunteers for February 13th
We are going on a field trip to the Studio Bell in Downtown and we need at least five volunteers to chaperone our students. Please send me an email if you are available on this day.
