Our Learning Quest this week!

We started our week with new learning challenges!
This is our roadmap for this week:

Ask your child what they were able to complete today!
If you your child was away, please find the details about our weekly tasks here (Note: we haven't started all tasks in this link, yet).

Calvin's Thought of the Week:
“If you don't make mistakes, you're not working on hard enough problems. And that's a mistake.”

Frank Wilczek

Writing Challenge
This week we are learning about Poetry, specific about acrostic poems.

Acrostic: poetry in which the first letter of each line, when read vertically, spell out a word. The word is usually the subject of the poem.
Vanilla
As I eat it on my brownie
Not doubting it's sweet
Ice cream is a tasty treat
Lots of lingering taste
Lasting to the end
Always my favorite!

Students must create 3 acrostic poems throughout this week:

Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
  • Use your name
  • Chocolate
  • Ice cream
  • Caramel
  • My Brain
  • Kindness
  • Mistake
