Math | Division

Spaghetti and Meatball for all

Today we started learning more about division. Students watched the story of a family reunion and the challenging task to have enough tables and chairs for 32 guests. Then, students tried to create different table sitting plans for 24 and 28 guests on their own. The main task was to find a way to arrange the least amount of tables possible to all guests.

Some examples of our work:

Also, we worked with a partner to solve math word problems. After we finished, we discussed and observed how different groups found different ways to solve the same problems.
