We had another exciting day getting to know one another and back into our school routine. We sorted our classroom library, worked with mystery numbers, wrote about our expectations for this year and signed our classroom contract.

Our theme for this year is Kindness and Respect.

We have been discussing about the importance of treating others the way we would like to be treated and that we encourage each other to be the best version of ourselves.

Mindfulness
We discussed about the importance of being aware of our own emotions and how they affect different regions of the brain, and how to calm down by taking deep breaths. In our classroom we have a Peace Corner that students can take sometime to find their focus and get ready for learning. Talk with your child how they can deal with stress and challenging situations.

Communication Folders
Today students happily took a package of homework home for their families to complete. Thank you for returning these in the communication folders once complete.

On Friday students and staff will be wearing our school colours, blue and white.
